CONGRATULATIONS to two pupils at Bayhouse School in Gosport who have successfully stopped smoking with help from Quit4Life. Both pupils managed to give up with the support of their teacher, Sarah Cornish, who is trained as an NHS Southern Health Quit4Life Stop Smoking Adviser. Both pupils received weekly behavioural support from Sarah and carbon monoxide monitoring to encourage them.

Bayhouse School has worked proactively to prevent smoking among young people through their partnership with Quit4Life via the Smoke Free Ambassador Programme, plus promotion of quit campaigns and providing support for pupils wishing to stop.

Quit4Life also work with the School Nursing teams across Hampshire to prevent young people smoking. Within their role, school nursing teams have delivered assemblies, information sessions, referrals to Quit4Life and support through their new ‘Chat Health’ text service.

Well done to all involved in creating smoke-free futures for Hampshire’s young people!
